NPF Greater Rochester
The National Parkinson Foundation Greater Rochester is a local group that supports people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers. It sponsors and assists with programs that encourage people to become actively involved in the Parkinson’s community. NPFGR’s education efforts include regular lectures about how to best cope with the affliction, exercise classes, dancing, and mentoring. The group was formerly known as the Parkinson Support Group of Upstate New York.

Monroe Community College Brighton Campus
Moving Day® is a collaborative effort of the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) and the National Parkinson Foundation Rochester Chapter. This event is a day of joining together and raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease. At our inaugural Moving Day walk last fall, over 400 participants, including people with Parkinson’s disease, family, friends, co-workers, healthcare providers, corporate leaders and corporate teams, joined together to exercise while raising funds in support of the Foundation’s mission.
